Tea tox officially complete! This is the final part of my review of the Your Tea Tiny Tea 28 day tea tox.
Final Effects and Results
Whilst I didn’t loose much weight (summary at the end), the tea pretty much did everything it said it would do, lets have a quick review what their website says should happen:
- Toxin removal.
- Reduction in body fat.
- Reduction in fluid retention.
- If you have any cellulite, it should clear up significantly.
- Your skin and eyes will clear up and when TinyTea is consumed along with a healthy diet, your mind & spirit should feel more grounded, less agitated.
- Feel more energised and full of life.
I don’t feel bloated, I didn’t really to start with though*. Although I have not lost much weight, I can definitely notice increased muscle tone. I have been going to strength classes the gym regularly so it may affect you differently if you are not exercising during the tea tox. Reduction in cellulite, tick, didn’t notice a change in my eyes at all. Feeling more grounded and less agitated, BIG TICK.
“You will however, feel much more energetic and as a result you may feel inclined to increase your work-out!”
This increase was huge! This was the single biggest change that I noticed during the tea tox and my biggest improvement! I just felt so great and energised the entire time and that happened almost immediately after starting the tea. I think the results speak for themselves, I went from 2 gym sessions in week 1 to 5 in week 4, crazy. My mood was great, and I really did become a lot more mindful about my portion sizes, what I was eating and whether or not I really wanted something, or if it was just a habit to eat it (especially snacks). That feeling of being so full after a meal took me a while to get used to. I went into this expecting more of a dramatic weight loss and that is about it but I found the opposite that everything else is affected and for me the weight was secondary. While I am disappointed that there was not much of a weight loss,
if I had of cleaned up my diet more I suspect that I would have had stronger results, I did want to test the effect of the tea only so I think it is a reasonable result.
So I guess I have my answer, there is no magic tea you can drink that will make you lose 10kg overnight, what a surprise. There is no easy way, just hard work and dedication! The tea basically does everything it claims to do and I now understand why all of these people on social media are raving about it! Even if you do not change your diet or exercise, I think I would have still noticed changes and benefits. Depending on your head space and why you want to detox, you will probably find yourself wanting to change habits on your own as you progress.

Was this a freak result? I am putting my original findings to the test and am currently completing another tea tox! I am at day 14 and will post my findings in a shortened summary when I am finished, stay tuned!

Two weeks after the tea tox has ended I have noticed a difference! Ok so I have not crashed and burned as anticipated but I do miss the tea a lot.
*You know I said I’m not normally bloated, well a few days after I stopped drinking I realised that this was a BIG FAT LIE! Wow, that is one major thing I noticed, I felt so bloated! In the first few days I felt like I had a big jelly belly! In reality it looked the same but gosh I felt so different. I thought to myself, is this how I have been walking around feeling all this time? Such a difference. After the first week I felt normal but now I know what I can feel like compared to my usual unaware bloated self. The only other differences I noticed is that I don’t have the same boundless energy and I am not feeling that same fullness after my meals, all to be expected.
It is really nice to be more relaxed and not drinking on a strict schedule. I am now drinking a lot of green tea instead and have about two cups during the day. I have maintained the weight loss and because I broke the cycle of sugary/chocolate snacks during the tea tox, so I have not fallen back into my old habits. I am now doing 3 gym sessions per week, only single classes each time though!
Your Tea say that you can do tea toxes back to back, have a break and do another one. Of course they are going to say that, they are trying to sell it! I do have a confession to make, I have ordered another box already! I won’t do the full tea tox again right away, maybe just drink one per day to maintain the energy and reduction in bloating. There is always the option of doing a 7 or 14 day tea tox if I have some sort of event to get ready for or am feeling a bit flat! The 28 day is $55 equating to 65c per cup vs the 14 day ($35/83c per cup) so I just ordered the 28 day to keep in the pantry. While it is a lot more expensive than your standard herbal tea from the supermarket at a few cents per bag, to me the cost is worth the benefits.
Overall, considering how sceptical I was at the start of this experiment, I am impressed wiht how fast you notice changes in your body, am satisfied with the tea and would do it again. I would recommend the tea for anyone who wants to detox their body and get an energy boost, but it would especially suit those starting on a health or fitness journey. The tea can give you that helping hand at the start of increased energy (and therefore motivation to work out) and help curb those initial sugar cravings and withdrawals so you become less dependant on sugar and also tune into your body and how it feels when you eat particular things and why. Hopefully by the end of the tea tox you would have developed enough good habits to continue on afterwards. Realistically, considering all you are doing is drinking something three times a day, the results are pretty good and it is quite low effort.
I am going to try the Her Tea next, they are out of stock at the moment so it might be a little while before the next review!
